On the morning of July 13, 2025, while in full uniform, I was assigned to marked unit East 3. At 11:28 a.m., I responded to 181 Washington St. for a stabbing. Multiple other units responded.
Upon my arrival, I located the victim, Mr. XXXX. He had a gauze pad put against the left side of his stomach rib area. I asked Mr. XXXX to lift the gauze pad, and I saw what I believed to be a puncture wound. At that time, I had him place the gauze pad back onto the wound. Mr. XXXX was actively talking with me and others; he then stated that he did not remember what had occurred and that he just remembered getting into an altercation with someone and then noticed he had been stabbed. At that time, I requested detectives to the scene.
Somerville Fire and Calatdo Ambulance arrived on the scene and took over care of Mr. XXXX. He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.
I was then Met by Ms. XXXX, who stated that she had witnessed the entire incident. I asked Ms. XXXX what had occurred, and she went on to say that a group was smoking in the area of the parking lot when an unknown truck pulled up. Ms. XXXX then states that she went to throw a cigarette away into a sewer drain when she and an unknown male who was inside the truck started to argue. Ms. XXXX then stated that Mr. XXXX came to intervene when the male inside the truck got out and stabbed Mr. XXXX. Ms. XXXX then stated that the unknown male got into his car and drove away.
Ofc. FUSCO sent out an email with a picture of the operator and passenger of the vehicle. The plate number was Ma reg (XXXX); it came back to a Ford F-150 LGTCON color green registered to XXXX out of XXXX. Revere Police was requested to go to the address to see if that vehicle was at that location. The owner was at the address and stated that Mr. Jose GORDON was operating the vehicle. She was able to get him on the phone, and Ms. XXXX stated he was on his way to the Somerville Police Department.
Myself and Ofc. N. Moreira came to the station and located Mr. GORDON in the lobby. I was able to view a video of the incident collected by Detective Collazo. Based on the video and Ms. XXXX statements, I placed Mr. GORDON under arrest for S265 C15A A&B with a dangerous weapon. Mr. GORDON was walked to the booking window and was properly booked by Lt. Kim.
