This is a brief summary pertaining to incident #25036121:

On Thursday, June 26th, 2025, I, Officer Thomas Lambert was in full uniform while assigned to marked cruiser East-1 during the 4pm-12am shift. At approximately 5:30PM I was dispatched to 105 Middlesex Avenue (TJ MAXX) for a shoplifter that ultimately turned into an Assault. Dispatch stated a bald white male wearing a blue suit was assaulting someone. East-4 Officer Keighla McAloney responded as well.

Upon my arrival I observed Assembly Row Security, Ms. XXXX pointing in between two parked vehicles. I saw a male, later identified as Mr. Scott Kellerer attempting to hide under one of the vehicles. Mr. Kellerer was placed in handcuffs without incident. While searching him I located a pair of black Adidas pants tucked in the left pant leg which appeared to be an attempt to conceal items he stole from Adidas a few minutes ago.

I then spoke to Ms. XXXX who stated she confronted Mr. Kellerer in front of Adidas and just asked him to return the items. Mr. Kellerer then assaulted Ms. XXXX multiple times with a closed fist and attempted to leave the area. Mr. Kellerer did give Ms. XXXX a few items back, but left his wallet in one of them and began to cause a spectacle in the middle of the street by yelling at her. Ms. XXXX then gave Mr. Kellerer his wallet back, but he continued his aggressive and assaultive behavior toward her by once again assaulting her, striking her in the face and back of the head. SFD and Cataldo Ambulance arrived on scene and Ms. XXXX ultimately signed a medical refusal for her minor injuries.

A witness, Mr. XXXX who stated he saw Mr. Kellerer assault Ms. XXXX and attempted to intervene to prevent further escalation.    

Mr. Kellerer was placed under arrest and transported by Unit 200, Officer Marika Duval and booked in the usual manner by Lieutenant Eli Kim. Mr. Kellerer will be charged with the following:

-CH. 265 S. 13A Assault and Battery

-CH. 266 S. 30A Shoplifting by concealing merchandise

All items were returned to the stores.
