Crime Log January 6 to January 13, 2026

Robbery

26001060: On 1/6/26 at approximately 9:59 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Broadway for report of a shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated two males entered the store to purchase tobacco. They were denied because they did not have valid ID’s and one of the males then took a jar of tobacco and began walking out. While walking out, he told the victim "Don't try anything, I have something on me."

Assault

26001687: On 1/9/26 at approximately 6:07 PM, Somerville Police responded to Perry Park for a dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims who stated they were walking their dog and saw a male party urinating outside. They approached the male and he brandished a knife at them.

26001782: On 1/10/26 at approximately 7:47 AM, Somerville Police responded to Prescott St for a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with three individuals who were involved in a fight with each other.

Residential Breaking & Entering

26001794: On 1/10/26 at approximately 9:05 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Richdale Ave for a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a door was forced open and toothbrushes were stolen.

Assault

26001703: On 1/9/26 at approximately 7:27 PM, Somerville Police responded to Winter St for an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he observed his car being towed. He then went out and tried to get his car and was assaulted by the tow driver.

26001867: On 1/10/26 at approximately 6:47 PM, Somerville Police responded to Somerville Hospital for an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with two nurses who stated hey were attacked by two juvenile males.
