This is a brief summary pertaining to incident #25024417:

On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, I, Officer Thomas Lambert was in full uniform while assigned to marked cruiser East-1 during the 4pm-12am shift. At approximately 8:52pm I was dispatched to 779 McGrath HWY (Stop & Shop) for a shoplifter. Dispatch stated that a white male wearing a red plaid shirt, jeans and backpack was loading up meets inside of his backpack. East-4 Officer Gianna Ferrara responded as well.

Upon my arrival Officer Ferrara relayed that the male, later identified as Mr. Anthony Disantos was traveling down McGrath HWY from Mystic Avenue toward Speedway. I saw Officer Ferrara and the Loss prevention officers chasing Mr. Disantos on foot. We were able to catch up with Mr. Disantos on McGrath HWY across from Foss Park.

LPO XXXX stated Mr. Disantos put approximately 27 Rib eye steaks in his back pack totaling $490.82 and left the store without any attempt to pay for the items. LPO XXXX grabbed Mr. Disantos's back pack and emptied out all of the items outside of the exit door. Mr. Disantos then grabbed LPO XXXX by the shirt while slapping him across the right side of his face with an open hand.

I would like to note through a CJIS query, Mr. Disantos also had 5 outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Mr. Disantos was transported back to Somerville Police Headquarters by Unit 200, Officer Derrick Dottin and booked in the usual manner by the shift commander, Lieutenant Michael Holland.

Mr. Disantos is charged with the following:

-CH. 266 S. 30A SHOPLIFTING BY CONCEALING MERCHANDISE

-CH. 265 S. 13 A&B

Respectfully submitted,

Officer Thomas Lambert
