On Thursday, May 1, 2025, I was working Patrol East-2. I responded to 282 Somerville Avenue (Dunkin Donuts) for a report of someone attempting to enter a vehicle. Officer A. Lorenti ( East-3) responded as backup.

Upon arrival, I spoke with the reporting party, XXXX. She stated that a white male wearing a black hat, black T-shirt, and beard had tried getting into her vehicle by pulling on her door handles as she left the parking lot. Ms. XXXX stated that the male then ran from the parking lot.

I viewed this incident on the Dunkin Donuts security camera and witnessed the male attempt to access the vehicle and then run from the parking lot. The party ran across Somerville Avenue, onto Washington Street.

Sgt. Van Nostrand was in the area when he located a subject matching the description at 231 Washington Street (Global Gas). Sgt. Van Nostrand was approached by XXXX, who stated that the same male had threatened her with a knife. Sgt Van Nostrand apprehended the male and identified him as Ronald Fronduto.

Ms. XXXX said that she was getting gas at Global Gas (MA Dealer Reg XXXX) when the male, Mr. Fronduto, approached her passenger side window while seated in the driver's seat. Mr. Fronduto began telling Ms. XXXX that she owed him money and said, "You're supposed to cash app me bitch". Ms. XXXX said she did not know him and exited her vehicle. She said that Mr. Fronduto came around the front of the car, so she retreated to the rear. He then pulled out a black knife and attempted to stab her front driver-side tire. Mr. Fronduto then closed the distance between himself and Ms. XXXX, pointing the knife blade at Ms. XXXX. At this point, an unidentified male stepped in between the two, and Mr. Fronduto began to flee before being apprehended by Sgt. Van Nostrand.

Mr. Fronduto was handcuffed and walked to Police Headquarters at 220 Washington Street for booking. During the booking process conducted by Lt. Fusco and station Officer P. Barton, Mr. Fronduto began making delusional statements. Please see Officer P. Barton's supplemental report #25023906-2

The various pills located during the booking process have been entered for destruction.
