About 7:37PM on Thursday, 10/30/25, I Officer Westgate and Officer Hartsgrove in Unit 2 East, responded to an unwanted call at 342 Broadway (Walgreens), Somerville.

Before arrival, dispatch notified Unit East 1 to head to the scene as well. Dispatch mentioned that the individual in question is a black male wearing a green sweater that says broken promises and a black jacket.

Upon arrival, Unit East 1 was on the scene and I could see a trash barrel and a sign on the ground. The male in question (later identified as Ogboin Anthony DOB XXXX was standing outside the entrance with the Officer assigned to Unit East 1. When I walked up to the male (Ogboin) who matched the given description, he mentioned that the Walgreens workers were harassing him and saying that he was a "pedophile." Ogboin added that they are accusing him of something he is not and was using a loud tone to express his frustration. He continued to express that he is a black male and the police are violating his rights and also accusing him. He mentioned Rosa Parks as a comparison. This is when I entered Walgreens to hear their side of the story. Walgreens staff XXXX, expressed that Ogboin came into the store two weeks ago and met a fellow Walgreens worker XXXX. She mentioned that XXXX was working in one of the store isles and Ogboin came up to her. He then asked for her name and phone number. However, XXXX advised him that she was a minor and not interested in talking. This is when XXXX intervened when she saw that XXXX was visibly uncomfortable and weirded out by him. When she intervened, Ogboin continued on and began asking XXXX for her Instagram as well as any socials she had. XXXX then told XXXX to go "help at the register," to get her away from Ogboin. After being told that XXXX was a minor once again, Ogboin exited and entered the store several times, stared at XXXX, then eventually left the store.

On the date listed above, XXXX mentioned that he entered the store around 7:08PM, 7:10PM and 7:12PM (and so fourth until we arrived on scene). At approximately 7:10PM, he came to the register to buy items he picked from the store. Before paying for these items, she mentioned to him that if he continued entering the store to harass XXXX, that she would call the Somerville Police Department to tress pass him. She added that he was told in the past that XXXX is a minor and is not interested in conversation with him. Ogboin reacted by yelling and calling Walgreens workers bitches as well as whores. Adding that it must be racism for the treatment he was receiving. Ogboin then paid for his items while yelling and put Reeses, Kitkats into his bag and exited the store. On his way out he kicked a shopping cart, then knocked over the trash barrel and Walgreens sign when he exited the store. Afterwards, he came back into the store stating that the Walgreens workers were Racist as well as whores and left again.

This is when XXXX mentioned that she wanted him trespassed. During the conversation with XXXX, I had to leave the store as he was screaming outside. When I came outside, I asked Ogboin if he had a receipt for his items and a further explanation on what happened today. Ogboin at the time continued yelling and screaming and stating that he did not have a receipt. I then asked if he had taken any items to which he began speaking about racism and Officers on scene being white.

This is when Officers were able to find and recover Reeses Pumpkins as well as Kit Kats, plus Melatonin from his bag. I then told Ogboin that he is trespassed from the store and is not to return or he will be arrested. Ogboin at first left the scene, almost reaching Winter Hill bank (in the same plaza as Walgreens), then returned to the Walgreens store-front to argue about where he would get the medicine. He then said "fuck this," I am going to return to the store tomorrow. I then advised him that if he did return tomorrow that he would be arrested. He then stated that he did not care and that he has schizophrenia as well as back issues and that he is a black male. After explaining he was free to leave the scene, and that he can retrieve his medication from other pharmacies around Somerville, he went back towards the Winter hill bank and walked right back to Walgreens. I then told Ogboin that he is under arrest for tress passing for not leaving the scene after being advised several times.

Ogboin was then placed in handcuffs (double locked). While he was in handcuffs he mentioned that he "has powers," and can show us what he is made of. He then began jabbing my chest with his left elbow a few times. I then further restrained Ogboin by holding his arm in a higher location to prevent his elbow from thrusting at me. Ogboin then stopped but continued screaming and yelling about his rights being violated.

Ogboin was then searched and brought back to 220 Washington Street to be booked on the following Charges,

TRESPASSING, MGL CH 266 S 120

DEFACEMENT MALICIOUS WANTON PROPERTY, MGL 266 S 126A

SHOPLIFTING BY ASPORTATION, MGH CH 266 S26A
