On Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at approximately 12:25 pm, I, Officer Walter Collette while working for the Traffic Unit was stopped at the red light on Prospect St, Northbound at the intersection of Somerville Avenue.

The Eastbound side of Somerville Ave also had been stopped for the red light when I observed a Bicyclist completely ignore the light and proceed through the intersection and make a left on to Washington St.

I activated my blue lights and signaled the cyclist to pull to the right eventually coming to a stop in the area of 220 Washington St.

I then informed the operator later identified at booking (from his Drivers License) as Mr. Justin Craig Mcintosh of his infraction and that I need to identify him and an ID would be the easiest, but he informed me he did not have an ID on him. I then asked him to tell me his last name first and he stated, " I don't remember". I asked him at least FOUR more times for his name and he continued to refuse. I informed him of the law under Chapter 85s11e that I need to issue him a traffic citation and in order to do that I need his true name, address and date of birth or he will be subject to arrest.

At this point he still refused to cooperate so he was placed in handcuffs and I escorted him to the booking area of the Somerville Police Department along with the assistance of Deputy Chief Donovan, Captain Sheehan and Captain Digregorio.

Mr. Mcintosh was then booked by Lieutenant Capasso for the following charges;

1. C85s11b - Fail to stop at a red light,

2. C85s11e - Fail to provide name and address.

Massachusetts Uniform Citation number 790089AD was also issued for those infractions and his copy was placed with his property.
