Narrative: 

On the evening of September 20, 2026, while in full uniform, I was assigned to marked unit East-3. At approximately 5:02 P.M. I, Officer Marsden, along with my partner Officer Lorenti were dispatched as a backup to 180 Somerville Ave, Target, for a report of a larceny in progress. Officer R. Sullivan, East-2, responded as well. Sgt. Costa, (S-8) responded as backup.

On scene, Officer R. Sullivan stated the suspect had fled from him, in the direction of Charlestown Street, which is located to the left of the Target store. A few moments later he transmitted another location of Linden Street, which is off of Charlestown Street.

As I arrived, I observed Officer Sullivan off with the suspect in front of 3 Linden Street. The suspect had a Champion backpack on his persons. I exited my marked cruiser and placed the suspect into handcuffs and the party was searched.

I asked the suspect for his name, however all he said was please don't arrest me. He went on to say that he will leave Somerville and never come back. After a few more attempts of asking the suspect his name, he eventually stated Bradley WEBBER. He then stated that he dropped everything he took outside of the Target Store and to please allow him to go.

I noticed the Champion backpack had a tag on it still, which Officer Lorenti informed me that Target sells that particular backpack. I opened the backpack which was full to find more products that were stolen from Target.

Based on the facts, WEBBER was placed under arrest without incident for Larceny, Under 1,200 (MGL c.266 s30).

Transport unit 200, operated by Officer Westgate, was requested to the scene to transport WEBBER to Somerville Police Headquarters for booking. Booking was completed by Lt. Kim in the usual manner.

I conducted a follow up at Target to get the exact total of all the items that were taken from Target. I was met by the Loss Prevention Manager, Mr. XXXX. XXXX stated that he observed Webber at 4:40 P.M. concealing items. When his associate, Ms. XXXX went to stop WEBBER at the exit doors, WEBBER pushed her and walked away from her.

All items taken totaled: $1,174.28

While in the booking process, it was made known that WEBBER had a warrant for his arrest.
