On November 19, 2025, I, Officer Ferrara, was in full uniform working for the Somerville Police Department, assigned to marked unit East-1. At approximately 1309 HRS, I was dispatched to 499 Foley Street, for a report of two male shoplifters at the Assembly T-Station.

Dispatch relayed to units responding that Assembly security was watching two males who had stole from various different stores in Assembly Row (find receipts attached in Safe-Track). The first suspect was a white male wearing a gray sweatshirt with a black Puma coat, and the second male was black wearing a brown and white jacket.

Upon arrival Assembly security provided me with a picture with the two individuals (added into Safe-Track) which I distributed to the units responding to the area. Assembly Security stated that the two males were shoplifting from various stores and leaving the stolen items to the right front corner, of the Foley Street garage. As I was speaking with Assembly Security the first male, Christopher SABATER, was walking across the street. I stopped SABATER and asked him for his ID. As I was speaking to SABATER Assembly security advised me that the second male, Shawn WALKER, was in the Foley Street garage. S9 (Sgt. Costa) then arrived on scene and stayed with SABATER while I went with Assembly security to the Foley Street Garage to look for WALKER. WALKER then took off towards Miscella (485 Foley St). I radioed into units responding WALKERS direction of travel.

East-3 (Ofc. Ruf) then radioed into dispatch that he had WALKER in custody in front of Lucky Strike (325 Revolution Drive).

Assembly security stated that they had WALKER on camera dumping the various stolen items but they did not see SABATER on the camera.

SABATER had one outstanding warrant for his arrest:

Larceny from a person

Credit Card, Larceny of

A&B

SABATER was then placed under arrest and placed in 200.

WALKER had two outstanding warrants:

Trespassing

Larceny Under

and

Fugitive from justice on a court warrant

Shoplifting by Asportation

Resisting Arrest

A&B on a Police Officer

He was also placed under arrest and placed in 200.

Based on the facts, SABATER and WALKER were both placed under arrest without incident. Unit 200 operated by Officer Dottin was requested to transport SABATER and WALKER back to the Somerville Police Department where he was booked in the usual manner by Lt. Holland.

WALKER is additionally being charged with the following:

LARCENY OVER $1200 c266 S30 (shoplifting)
