On 05/15/2025 while in full uniform I was assigned to marked unit East-4, working the Day Shift from 8AM-4PM. At approximately 8:27AM I was dispatched to XX Browning Road for a report of a B&E. Officer Morel (East-1) responded as backup.

On scene I was met by the reporting party identified as Mr. XXXX. XXXX stated that he just recently purchased the property on XX Browning Street on April 29th, 2025. XXXX stated when he arrived at the residence today that his keys wouldnt work, and the doors appeared to be deadbolted shut. XXXX stated after several attempts to gain entry into the home that a man appeared in the window, and began shouting. XXXX stated that the man shouted "Get the fuck away this is my mother's house."  XXXX stated he was shocked, and that is when he called the Somerville Police.

I then asked XXXX to point out exactly which window he saw the suspect appear in. XXXX stated that it was in the rear of the residence. I then made my way to the rear. As I was walking alongside of the home, I then observed a male party walk out of the home though the back door, and down the stairs. The male party was identified as Mr. Dean CORONITI. I asked CORONITI what he was doing inside of the home. CORONITI stated that he was sorry, and that he had been living inside of the home for the last two weeks, because he was homeless, and had nowhere else to go. CORONITI stated that his mother used to own the property, until it was placed on the market 8 months ago. I asked CORONITI how he was able to gain entry to the residence. CORONITI stated that he had a set of keys which he then revealed. I then asked CORONITI to walk with me to the front of the residence, and stand with Officer Morel while I spoke with XXXX a short distance away.

While speaking to XXXX he stated that about a week ago he left keys in the mailbox of XX Browning Road for an appraiser he hired to go and look at the house. XXXX stated that on Tuesday 05/13/25 that the appraiser texted him, and stated that the keys were no longer inside the mailbox. XXXX then showed me a text thread with the appraiser, and it contained a photo of the empty mailbox missing the keys. XXXX was able to provide documents and proof of purchase of the home.

I then advised CORONITI that he was being placed under arrest for the following charges:

B AND E FOR MISDEMEANOR C266 S16A

TRESPASS c266 S120.

Unit 200, operated by Officer Buswell was requested for CORONITI. CORONITI was then transported to the Somerville Police Station, and booked in the usual manner by Lt. Fusco.
