Crime Log August 18, to August 24, 2026

Assault

26057946: On 8/18/26 at approximately 6:19 PM, Somerville Police responded to Franklin St for a bike accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated him and his juvenile daughter were crossing the street and his daughter was lightly struck by a moped. They both walked to the sidewalk and a male party known to him punched him in the nose. Officers identified the male suspect.

Commercial Breaking & Entering

26058679: On 8/21/26 at approximately 7:40 AM, Somerville Police responded to a construction site on Alpine St for a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated someone entered the construction site overnight and stole numerous tools.

Assault

26058701: On 8/21/26 at approximately 9:06 AM, Somerville Police responded to Davis Sq for an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a male party came up to him and began verbally attacking him then threw hot coffee at him. 

Residential Breaking & Entering

26059396: On 8/23/26 at approximately 9:01 PM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Tufts St for a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a male party entered his apartment and vomited on his couch. Officers identified the male suspect.

Assault

26058973: On 8/22/26 at approximately 3:42 AM, Somerville Police took a report regarding a past assault. The victim stated that around 11:00 PM while in Davis Sq, a male party grabbed him and pushed him into a pole. 

Assault

26058895: On 8/21/26 at approximately 10:21 PM, Somerville Police responded to Elm St & Chester St for an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was walking down the street and a male party hit him in the head with a stick. Officers identified the male suspect. 

Arrest

26059348: On 8/23/26 at approximately 3:42 PM, Somerville Police responded to South St for a dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she is unhoused and was moving her belongings. While doing so, a male party approached her asking where his suitcase was then punched her in the face. He was located nearby and placed under arrest.
